Sir Tone TYPE-1 3mSS

普段はワイアレスで事足りているが、録音や充電切れのために新しいギターシールドに買い換える事にした。以前購入したSir Tone：KHD電線の電源プラグがよかったので、評判の良いギターシールドも試してみる。今回はTYPE-1のラインナップにはない「一本限定色（うぐいす色のナイロン糸編組外被タイプ）」を購入。TYPE 1はギターに特化したシールドで、装飾されたような人工感がなく輪郭のある密なサウンドで極めて素直な音。プラグがチューブで被覆されていてネジが緩んでいくストレスが無い。極性があって、矢印の向きが印刷されているのが嬉しい。音質の変化ではなく「改善」に務めてきた宅録配線の最終段かもしれない。

Normally, wireless is enough, but I decided to replace it with a new guitar shield because of recording and running out of charge. I liked the power plug of the Sir Tone: KHD wire I bought earlier, so I'll try the reputable guitar shield. This time, I bought a "one limited color (light blue nylon thread braided outer cover type)" that is not in the TYPE-1 lineup. TYPE 1 is a shield specialized for guitars, and it has a dense sound with contours without artificial feeling like decoration, and it is an extremely straightforward sound. The plug is covered with a tube so there is no stress of loosening the screws. I am glad that it has polarity and the direction of the arrow is printed. It may be the final stage of home recording wiring that has been working on "improvement" rather than change in sound quality.

「ウルテム ピック」を求めて横浜駅周辺の楽器屋を３店ハシゴした。DANLOPの88mmと CLAYTONの80mmを主に使う。94と73は臨機応変に。白い穴あきピックは滑り止めのざらつきが気に入った！

In search of "Ultem Pick", I went to three musical instrument stores around Yokohama Station.I mainly use 88mm of DANLOP picks and 80mm of CLAYTON picks. 94 and 73 are flexible. I like the non-slip texture of the white perforated picks!

使用弦を変える事にした。Guitarの６弦がCの方は50－11のFlat Woundから49-11のSemi Flat Woundに。６弦がDの方は46－10のSemi Flat Woundに変更。本当はNickel弦にしたいのだがHalf Roundは無かった。GHS/ Brite Flatsというラウンドワウンドをスムースな表面に仕上げた弦も使ってみたが、６弦の引っ掛かりがあってD'Addarioの仕上げの方が気持ちいい。BassはR.Coccoを愛用していたけど、Semi Flat Woundがいいので高価なD'Addarioの45-100を購入してみた。 唯一Round Wound弦（Nickel弦）で初めて買ったのはLa-Bellaの45-105だ。柔らかく滑らかなタッチ感だというので４弦Cの方に張った。

I decided to change the strings used. If the 6th string of the guitar is C, change from 50-11 Flat Wound to 49-11 Semi Flat Wound. If the 6th string is D, change it to 46-10 Semi Flat Wound. I really wanted to use Nickel strings, but there was no Half Round. I also tried using a string called GHS / Brite Flats, which has a smooth surface with a round wound, but the 6th string is caught and the D'Addario finish is more comfortable. Bass used to love R. Cocco, but I like the Semi Flat Wound, so I bought the expensive D'Addario 45-100. The only Round Wound string (Nickel string) I bought for the first time was the La-Bella 45-105. It has a soft and smooth touch, so I put it on the 4th string C.

VITAL AUDIO POWER CARRIER VA-01 Mk-II

40年以上前から使っていたGuyatoneのパワーサプライを引退させて、一番スリムでコンパクトなVITALのPOWER CARRIERを購入した（エフェクターは４つしか繋がない）18V300mAポートを装備しているので、電源が9Vから18Vまで対応可能になったRC Boosterを18Vで駆動できる！ノンアイソレーションでデジアナ混合だけどノイズはほぼ無い。

I retired from Guyatone's power supply, which I had been using for over 40 years, and purchased the slimmest and most compact VITAL POWER CARRIER (only four effectors can be connected). It is equipped with an 18V 300mA port, so the power supply is RC Booster that can handle from 9V to 18V can be driven by 18V! It is non-isolated and mixes digital and analog, but there is almost no noise.

Xotic RC Booster-V2

何故かsoldanoアンプの調子が悪いので、今回PREAMPじゃなくて以前から気になっていたクリーンブースターを購入した。RCBのバージョン2！黒ではなく鏡面仕上げだった。Gain２のミニツマミが４つのノブの真ん中にあるけど指が入りませんw 回すにはラジオペンチが必要。足元ではなく腰の位置ぐらいの所に本体をセッティングしたので長いシールドを使うのだがバッファー機能がついているので音痩せしない。 これを通して弾くとシャキッとまとまる感じになる。普段Gainをほぼ上げずにONで、ブーストしたい時にGain２を足してみる。※ネットの書き込みで「シリアルが削られている」とはこの事だったのね。（下の写真）

For some reason, soldano amp. isn't working well, so I bought a clean booster that I've always been interested in instead of PREAMP. RCB version 2! It was a mirror finish, not black. The Gain2 mini knob is in the middle of the four knobs, but I can't put my finger in it. I need needle-nose pliers to turn it. Since the main body is set at the waist position instead of the feet, a long shield is used, but the buffer function is attached so that the sound does not lose weight. If you play through this, it will feel crisp and cohesive. I usually turn it on with almost no increase in Gain, and when I want to boost it, I add Gain2. ※It was this that "the serial was scraped" by writing on the net. (Photo below)
