Recording measures for acoustic musical instruments
CloudLifter CL-1
ダイナミックマイクで楽器を録音する際、音が小さいことが悩みだった。しかし、このクリーンブースターの様な働きをするマイク・アクティベーターというのがあるので、それを導入する事にした。SONYのダイナミックマイクからCloudLifter CL-1を通してから、ミキサーに入れて録音する。
When recording an instrument with a dynamic microphone, I was worried that the sound was quiet. However, there is a Mike Activator that works like this clean booster, so he decided to introduce it. Adjust the gain by putting it in the mixer after passing through Cloud Lifter CL-1 from SONY's dynamic microphone.
下の音源はダイナミックマイクからCloudLifter CL-1を通し、ミキサーに入れてからゲインを調節してガット・ギターを録音したもの。つなげた直後から音量が上がっているのが分かる。
A recording of a gut guitar by passing the Cloud Lifter CL-1 from a dynamic microphone, putting it in a mixer, and then adjusting the gain. Immediately after connecting, I found that the volume was rising.

SONYのダイナミックマイクからミキサーに直接入れてゲインを上げてクラシックギターを録音したもの。波形をみるとCloudLifter CL-1を通したものとの差は歴然だ。
A classical guitar recorded by directly inserting it into a mixer from a SONY dynamic microphone to increase the gain. Looking at the waveform, the difference from the one through Cloud Lifter CL-1 is clear.

Firewood Acoustic DI - Animals Pedal
エレアコのライン録音用にアクティブEQ付きDIを導入した。DC9VINも使えるがファンタムでバランスドアウトの方が大きい音で録れる。エフェクトループでコーラスやディレイ、ノイズゲートをかけられるのが良い。エレアコのLtd TL-6をAcoustic DI に通して録音してみると、あからさまに音量が違う。エレアコ→BJF Buffer→Acoustic DI→ミキサー→インターフェイス→PC/DAW
Introduced DI with active EQ for “Electric acoustic guitar” line recording. DC9VIN can also be used, but phantom and balanced out can be recorded with a louder sound. It is good to apply chorus, delay, and noise gate in the effect loop. When I try to record Acoustic-electric guitar's Ltd TL-6 through Acoustic DI, the volume is obviously different. Electric acoustic guitar-> BJF Buffer-> Acoustic DI-> Mixer-> Interface-> PC / DAW
エレアコのLtd TL-6をAcoustic DI に通して録音してみた。EQは全て12時、27秒あたりからバランスドアウトの音源。あからさまに音量が違う。
I recorded it through Acoustic DI. All EQs are balanced out sound sources from around 12 o'clock and 27 seconds. The volume is obviously different.
